Well, Actually I'm back in my car again. It's a really long story! Since March 10 to April 14, my car has been at the dealership. Being homebound is NOT a great thing. Let me just fill you all in with my wonderful experience of: 'MY BATTERY WENT DEAD AGAIN!"
In June 2005, I purchased a brand new Buick Lacrosse. Since I was going to retire, I wanted a car that I could rely on. In January 2006 when I went to start my car, it was deader than a door nail. Back and forth to the dealer...kept saying nothing was wrong with the battery. Finally they said that the next time it didn't start they would come and get it. And that's what happened. That January they just replaced the battery.
Let move on to November and December of 2007...You guessed it! The battery went dead AGAIN! To make the story short...over Christmas they replaced the radio. They thought there was a short in the radio causing the battery to go dead.
SURPRISE, SURPRISE! January 21..battery went dead. Dealership couldn't find anything and the car started every day for them. Picked up car January 28. February 2, battery dead again. (I think it's time for a funeral) February 5, they picked up our car. On February 28, we got it back again...nothing seemed to be wrong with it. Am I boring you with this story...sorry. On March 9th ...you already know..battery dead again. From March 9th to the present it has been at the dealership.
On February 4, I talked with the owner and told him I just wanted my car replaced. He was willing to do that. When I talked to GM service office, they said to give him 30 days to find a replacement. I however being so NICE gave him around 50 some days. (He has had cancer and been the hospital) But at the same time his son also works with him and was never told about my car till about 2 weeks ago. FINALLY when I talked to his son...he said to me, "Give me 3-4 days and I will see if I can find a replacment for you." 3 to 4 DAYS and I've been waiting over 50! Well between the dealership and GM Service...I got a call from the son saying "We found a replacement for you." The only thing I didn't get was my heated seats...but listen to this I got CHROME WHEELS. (Nothing that really excited me...I would rather have my heated seats) He did give me a 12month/12,000 miles Bumper to Bumper which I thought was GREAT. So Gary and I checked it out...took it for a drive...checked it inside and out. We decided to go with this replacement.
While signing all the paperwork, we mentioned that the problem of the battery going dead was never really resolved. The son made the comment, "You sure you don't have some kind of magnetic force in your garage?" "Come winter and my battery goes dead in this car,...maybe." was my reply. "Please don't go there." was his reply. Time will tell.
May this been the end of this story. THANKS GOES OUT TO ALL OF YOU WHO HAVE PRAYED FOR US. MY biggest prayer warrior of course is my mother. When I phoned her today she said "I knew it was you and that you would have a replacement" I didn't even know that. Thanks to family members and friends who helped me thru this trial. People who picked me up and took me places...like my wonderful daughter Ann-Marie. And of course Praise to God who always grants grace in all our trial.

I'm so happy for you! Your chrome wheels are blinging! (slang, ignore!) Your car looks great! Is it the same color? or a little different? love ya!
It's the same cardinal red. I'm glad that they only made one shade of red in 2005. If I didn't like the color of the car I wasn't going to take it...but it's the same.
Yea! New car! Am I going to have to hand in my driver's hat, now?
LOL!
Yeah! No more being a dependent :) I hope that there is no magnetic force in your garage, but if there is, that is kind of spooky!
Well if my garage does have a magnetic force..perhaps I could have my own TV spook show! Ha No thank you.
The real question is: how soon is someone going to steal your license plates and rob a Hilander?
Juliet,
I am SO happy that you FINALLY got that car problem resolved in your favor, which was only right. And I admire your tenacity, for if it weren't for that you would have wound up on the trash heap of "lemon victims." Good Girl!
Love,
Uncle Jimmy
I was starting to give up on you. I kept thinking, "Where is Aunt Juliet. Does she know it is APRIL!?!?!" I am glad that you are back to the world of blogging....I've missed you :) Glad your vehicle situation is finally resolved!
Car problems are SUCH a hassle! Glad you're all straightened out again, Juliet! :)
Thanks for your comments on my blog. (Ann-Marie too) I love it when people comment!
